Chelsea services include:

Mentoring

Students meet with the Grant Manager and School Navigator individually once a week, and as needed to provide wrap-around case management.

Educational services

On-going communication between home and school, tutoring/ homework assistance, and teacher consultation to boost academic achievement.

Referrals to community resources

Our close partnerships with internal/external agencies assist families in identifying community resources and supports (job training, mental health supports and parenting resources).

FAMILY SERVICES

Fun and educational activities for families, parent consultation, and family assistance programs.

out-of-school/summer activities

After school groups 3x/week, summer programming and monthly field trips/service trips. Offering of subsidies for camps and other summer programs.

social support

Positive social skills development through curriculum-based groups to enhance age-appropriate interactions with peers.

morale-building incentives

Incentive-based opportunities to earn additional one-on-one time, field trips, or other prizes.

COMMUNITY POLICING

Establish relationships between students and law enforcement agencies by working closely with members of the community.

JUvenile justice intervention

Addressing the needs of youth who might be at risk for entering the juvenile justice system through the promotion of a positive youth development model.

Bilingual staff

Chelsea’s MINDeaze services are offered in both English and Spanish.
